What We See

“Where there is no vision, the people cast off restraint;” Prov 29:18 ASV

We see a group of people gathered from all ages, walks of life and cultural backgrounds with varied gifts and diverse, God-given assignments.  New Vision Church is the place where we discover, develop and deploy--living the lives we were designed to live according to the vision of God.

New Vision Church is a vibrant, relevant, gathering place of contemporary
Christians discovering, developing and deploying their abilities in a quest to fulfill
God’s unique plan for their lives individually and collectively as a body of believers.  We see people set free from the bondage of “settling” and leading directionless lives plagued with dysfunction.

We see people as they find God’s
vision and purpose begin to walk in His grace, experiencing the abundant life
Jesus died for us to live. This is achieved through the teaching ministry of New Vision Church which exists to train people to fulfill their God given assignments, inspiring and producing change in their lives to empower them to transform their families and communities as they exercise influence in the realms of:

Arts and Entertainment

Media
Business

Politics
Athletics

Family/Community
Education

Ministry/Missions

Consequently, members of New Vision Church will extend the borders of the
Kingdom of God in their spheres of influence and become known for their
character, integrity, commitment to excellence and ability to practically apply
biblical principles to their relationships, finances, health, professional pursuits
and every other facet of their lives.

OUR MISSION

... to help people to discover, develop and be deployed in their God given gifts and callings.

WHAT WE BELEIVE

We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.

About the Scriptures

We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus Christ is the second member of the Trinity (the Son of God) who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Savior of the lost world.

About God

We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him but became alienated in that relationship through sinful disobedience.
As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God
through their own efforts.

About Humanity

Jesus Christ’s vicarious death on the cross paid the penalty for the sins of the whole world, but its benefits are only applicable to those who receive Jesus as personal Savior. Healing—body, soul and spirit—and all of God’s provisions for His saints, are provided for in the atonement, but these must be appropriated.

About The Atonement

We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.

About Salvation

We believe that the Scriptures portray the life of the saint in this world to be one
of balance between what is imputed to us as believers and what is imparted to us
according to our faith and maturity. The Christian life is filled with trials, tests and
warfare against a spiritual enemy. To remain faithful through all circumstances of life requires dependence upon the Holy Spirit and a willingness to die to personal
desires and passions.

About the Christian Life

We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and by making his reconciliation known to the lost world.

About the Church

We believe that Satan is the personal, spiritual adversary of God and God's
followers. Satan actively opposes the work of the church and the spiritual vitality of Christians. We therefore take seriously, but in a balanced way, the reality of personal, spiritual opposition. Satan is doomed to final defeat and judgment when Christ returns.

About Satan

We believe that this age will conclude with the personal, bodily return of Christ. At that time, He will complete God's plan to reestablish His just and righteous rule
over all humanity.

About the Second Coming

At the final judgment, God will assign all people their eternal destinies-either life
or judgment. Those who have responded to Jesus Christ with saving faith will
receive the eternal life they have already been promised (John 5:24), while
others will live under eternal judgment.

COVENANT
PARTNERSHIP

At New Vision, we don’t stress membership - we emphasize covenant partnership. We are not a church of consumers and we encourage all who attend to actively participate in what God is doing at New Vision. The ways you can get involved include a commitment to pursue personal growth and inviting friends and family, volunteering, creating community in a vGroup, and giving back to God through tithing. We call these categories of involvement the 4Gs.

Growth

Our church exists to equip believers to reach people far from God, and we want you to invite people in your life to experience the life-changing message of Jesus.

Gifts

God has equipped each of us with unique gifts and skill sets. At New Vision, we provide you opportunities to discover, develop and deploy your talents to serve God's vision through the local church.

Giving

At New Vision we consider it a privilege to give back to God what He has so freely given to us. We celebrate generosity and the work God does through our sacrificial giving.

Groups

Participating in a small group is the best way to build community and foster spiritual growth at New Vision. Through our vGroups, you can connect with others as you grow in your relationship with Christ.

PRACTICAL MINISTRY EMPHASIS

The uniqueness of New Vision Church Christian Fellowship is not in our doctrinal views. Rather, it is in the way that we apply our convictions to the world in which we live. New Vision Church is evangelical, outward-focused and involved. These areas of practical emphases give New Vision Church its distinct character.

We strongly believe that the heart of our ministry is content-rich biblical teaching.
We are convinced that the Word of God is, as Hebrews 4:12 says, & living and active; Because we have a high view of those we influence through our ministry, we believe that they want to be challenged by a reasonable, applicable presentation of the Bible. Furthermore, it is our conviction that spiritual growth and authentic Christian service must be based upon a strong foundation of knowledge of the Scriptures.

Content-rich

Paul says the goal of his ministry is to “present each man complete in Christ"
(Colossians 1:28). The goal of Christian instruction is to help Christians develop
a self-motivated spiritual life. We want to provide the tools and the opportunity for
people to establish their own biblically grounded convictions about Christian life
and Christian service.

Christ-centered

We believe that God works differently in the life of each Christian, but always with
his forgiveness and transforming love as the foundation. We all come to a
relationship with Christ with different sins, habits, burdens and concerns. At New
Vision Church, we are committed to cooperating with God as he works in
people's lives over time.

Grace-focused

New Vision Church places a heavy emphasis on the priesthood of all believers. God has given the work of the church to all Christians, not just the “clergy." The vast majority of the ministry in the church is performed by well-trained, volunteer workers and leaders. We are committed to helping those who want to serve, find roles where they can contribute.

Lay Ministry Centered

We believe that a plurality of accountable leaders best reflects the New Testament's design for the church.

Accountable Leaders

We are a church with a clear, outward focus. We recognize and affirm our biblical
position as “ambassadors for Christ" (2 Corinthians 5:20).

Outward-focused

We believe that the church needs to identify with the culture it serves. To be
successfully pro-cultural, New Vision Church recognizes the need to change its
methods but not message as the times change.

Pro-cultural

We have a special burden for young people. In the “post-Christian" West, most children grow up facing tough decisions without a relationship with Christ. We
believe people who are student-aged are uniquely open to the gospel.

Burdened for Students

The foundation for healthy individuals, society and the church is the family. We
are unequivocally committed to equipping families who are interested in forming
Christ-centered environments in their homes.

Family-serving

Our ministry is rooted in the profound awareness that God has delivered us from
the destructive course of the world and is continuing to restore us to wholeness
through His Spirit. We seek to express our appreciation and gratitude corporately
and individually.
